More About TCLF
We are a vibrant community of Christian legal professionals, Judges, Magistrates, Advocates, Lawyers, and Law Students united by a shared faith and a calling to serve both justice and the Gospel. Rooted in Micah 6:8, our mission is to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God as we pursue justice for the vulnerable and bring christ to the lost through Access to Justice.
TCLF was founded by four visionary members — Mr Addo November Mwasongwe, Mr Osapiri John, Ms Chally Grace Joshua and Ms Nelly Godlays Moshi, with a passion to unite Christian legal professionals in Tanzania.
TCLF was registered in 2025 as a Non – Governmental Organization and our registration number is 00NGO/R/8312. With its headquarters in Dar es Salaam. TCLF continues to grow as a platform for fellowship and service, dedicated to promoting justice and righteousness through legal outreach.

ADDO NOVEMBER MWASONGWE
Addo is a seasoned Advocate and Public Prosecutor with over 17 years of experience in the legal profession. My expertise spans various areas of law, including copyright, trademark, patent, and litigation. He possess excellent skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and mediation, with a strong track record of success in representing clients in complex legal matters.
As a dedicated professional, Addo hold memberships in several prestigious organizations, including the Tanganyika Law Society, SADC LAW ASSOCIATION, and East Africa Law Society. He also served as a Council Member of the Tanganyika Law Society and SADC LAW ASSOCIATION. His commitment to excellence and justice drives his work, and he remains dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to his clients.

Ms. SARAH MHAMILAWA
Sarah is an experienced corporate commercial lawyer with cumulative experience of thirteen years spread across land laws and respective dispute resolution, Internet and Telecommunications laws, among others. She is a registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania qualified to appear in the Court of Appeal of Tanzania and all the subsidiary courts in mainland Tanzania, as well as a qualified
Arbitrator with Tanzania Institute of Arbitration (TiArb). She has extensive experience, expertise and network to navigate the corporate commercial legal risks and challenges in the Tanzania business environment and is knowledgeable on the legislation and regulatory environment and hence can provide timely strategic legal counsel to ensures robust compliance, curbing of legal risks and support of the business growth initiatives.
She is recognized for her convincing analytical prowess. Meticulous attention to detail ensures accuracy in legal assessments and reports. She has experience in working with diverse teams to ensures timely delivery of high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. She is committed to driving business

NICCO JOHN MAKWATI
Nicco is a seasoned Judge’s Law Assistant and Advocate with over 11 years of experience in litigation, contract law, intellectual property law, and judicial administration. His expertise includes providing high-quality legal support to judges, advocating for clients in various legal matters, and conducting legal research and writing. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDL) from The Law School of Tanzania.
Currently, Nicco serve as a Judge’s Law Assistant at the Court of Appeal of Tanzania, where he provides legal support to judges and assist in the administration of justice. Previously, he worked as a Resident Magistrate at the Judiciary of Tanzania and as an Intern Trainee at MSEMWA & CO. ADVOCATES. He is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in his work, and he is dedicated to contributing to the development of the legal profession in Tanzania.

DIANA RWEGASIRA
Diana is a highly motivated and experienced legal professional with over 7 years of experience in legal practice, human resources, and credit management. She has a Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments. Skilled in legal drafting, litigation, and compliance, with a strong passion for counseling and guidance.
As a seasoned lawyer, Diana has worked with various organizations, including DDR Attorney Advocates, Drafco Group Limited, and Baggreens Construction Company Limited. Her expertise spans corporate law, employment law, and contract law, with a strong background in legal research and drafting. She is a registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and a member of the Tanganyika Law Society.

VERONICA GABRIEL BUCHUMI
Diana is a highly motivated and experienced legal professional with over 7 years of experience in legal practice, human resources, and credit management. ERICK MAXIMILLIAN MLASANI
Erick is a dedicated and ambitious law professional with a strong academic background and experience in teaching, research, and intellectual property. Currently, Erick is pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Intellectual Property at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). His academic achievements include being the Best LL.B Student, Class of 2022, and recipient of various other academic awards.
As a Tutorial Assistant and Part-Time Tutor at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law, Erick has honed his skills in teaching, research, and intellectual property. He has also completed various professional training programs, including the WIPO Executive Training on African Innovation through IP and the KIPO-WIPO AICC Training Program. He is proficient in Swahili and English, with excellent leadership, adaptability, and team collaboration abilities.

NELLY GODLAYS
Nelly is an accomplished Advocate and Public Prosecutor based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. With over 17 years of experience, she has established herself as a seasoned expert in litigation, contract law, intellectual property law, and judicial administration. Her academic credentials include a Master of Laws in Information Technology and Telecommunications (LLM IT&T) from the Open University of Tanzania, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDL) from The Law School of Tanzania, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Dar es Salaam.
Throughout her illustrious career, Nelly has held various prestigious positions, including Secretary to Council and Principal Legal Counsel at The Open University of Tanzania, Senior Legal Officer/Partner at Law Associates Advocates, and Legal Intern at the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. Her skills encompass litigation and dispute resolution, contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property law, mediation and arbitration, judicial administration, and legal research and writing. She is fluent in English and Swahili and she has served on various boards, including the Tanganyika Law Society Council, Tanzania Women Lawyers Association, and Civil Aviation Consumer Council of Tanzania.

OSAPIRI JOHN
John is a highly accomplished professional with 10 years of experience, including 6 years in management roles. His expertise spans leadership development, Christian missions, evangelism, and outreach, with a strong background in legal practice, research, and education. Currently, he serves as Manager- Legal, Policy Advocacy, Partnerships and East African Community Affairs at the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda and Evangelist/Board General Secretary at Every Home for Christ Uganda.
John’s academic credentials include a Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomacy and Global Studies from Nkumba University, Master of Laws from the University of Dar es Salaam, and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Nkumba University. He has also completed various professional training programs, including the Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and certifications in mediation, servant leadership, and sustainable management skills. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the East African Law Society, Uganda Law Society, and Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity.

MERCY GODLAYS
Mercy is a highly accomplished and seasoned lawyer with 15 years of experience in legal professional and government affairs. As an Advocate of the High Court and subordinate Courts, she possess a strong background in legal practice, with a proven track record of delivering excellence in high-pressure situations. Her expertise spans legal drafting, mediation, and conflict resolution, with a strong passion for training and team development.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has held various leadership positions, including Head of Legal Services at the Engineers Registration Board and Assistant Labour Commissioner at the Prime Minister’s Office. She is a member of several prestigious professional associations, including the Tanganyika Law Society, Tanzania Women Lawyers Association, and East African Lawyers Association. My academic credentials include a PhD in progress, Master of Public Administration, and LLB, among others.

ELIA JOSEPH MREMA
Elia is a highly accomplished and seasoned law professional with extensive experience in the Tanzanian judiciary system. Holding a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Corporate and Commercial Relations from Bagamoyo University and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Tumaini University Dar es Salaam, he possess a strong educational foundation in law. His career spans various roles, including Legal Officer, Judge’s Legal Assistant, Resident Magistrate, and Deputy Registrar.
Elia is currently serving as Deputy Registrar at the High Court of Tanzania - Arusha Registry, he bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in legal practice, judicial administration, and management. With fluency in English and Swahili, he is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the Tanzanian legal system. His achievements include capacity building for Juvenile Frontline workers and certification in Strategies for Judicial/Legal Drafting.

NYANGOMA CATHERINE ATWINE
Catherine a highly motivated and dedicated legal professional with a strong passion for social justice and community development. Her key skills include legal and social research, lobby and advocacy, partnership management, community mobilization, access to justice and legal aid, and legal counseling. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws at the University of Dar es Salaam, having previously obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Laws with Honors from Makerere University.
She has gained valuable experience through various roles, including Clerkship Student at the Leadership Code Tribunal, Volunteer Membership and Partnership Officer at Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity (UCLF), and Volunteer Legal Assistant at the Public Interest Law Clinic (PILAC). She has also held leadership positions, such as University Student Representative to DARUSO and Class President for the Postgraduate Class at the University of Dar es Salaam. Her research experience includes authoring a paper on assessing the role of anti-corruption legal systems in fostering investment in Uganda.
